Using a classroom seating chart

Print an extra copy for substitute teachers and keep the master near your desk during the first week of school while students learn assigned seats.

Row labels that say Front and Back help when you rotate groups for labs. Theater-style layouts work when every student must face a projector screen without turning chairs.

Leave cells blank until you know final enrollment. Handwritten names survive schedule changes faster than reprinting a filled chart after every transfer.

About these layouts

Classroom seating charts work best when every seat is blank and row labels match how you arrange desks. The default grid is five rows of six seats with labels down the left side for front and back of the room.

Use the Layout control for U-shape discussions or theater-style rows facing a screen. Elementary, high school, and small-class presets only change row and seat counts; they do not add student names.

Nothing uploads when you download. Print at 100% with scaling turned off so cells stay square on paper.

Wedding and event tables

Round-table receptions and banquet seating use stacked table blocks instead of classroom rows. Open the wedding seating chart to customize table count and seats per table.
