About the Feed square preset (1080 × 1080)
Square posts still dominate Instagram feeds for product shots, quotes, and carousel covers. At 1080 × 1080, images stay sharp on Retina phones without bloating upload times. Cover fit works well for portraits cropped to a square; contain preserves the full frame with white padding if you cannot lose edges.
In the controls below, cover fit crops portraits to a centered square, while contain keeps the entire photo with padding. Pick JPEG for everyday feed photos; PNG if your design includes flat color or text that must stay sharp after upload.
