WebP to JPG Converter, Free and In Your Browser

WebP is common on the modern web, but many desktop apps and upload forms still want JPG.

Transparent WebP pixels flatten using the background color in the controls below. Adjust quality before you download if the preview looks soft.

Format notes

When to use this output

Pick WebP to JPG when a download from the web or an Android share arrives as WebP but the next step needs JPEG: Word, PowerPoint, older photo viewers, or print shop kiosks.

Transparency

WebP often carries alpha. JPG does not. Transparent regions are filled with the background color you select below before download.

Quality

WebP may already be lossy. Converting to JPG applies another lossy pass. Keep quality at 0.85 or higher if the source is a screenshot or product photo.

File size

WebP is typically 25 to 35 percent smaller than JPG at similar quality, so the JPG you download here is often a bit larger than the WebP source. Both stay much smaller than PNG for photos.

FAQ

Why did my browser save WebP?

Chrome and other browsers often save images from the web as WebP to save bandwidth. JPG is still easier to open offline on some PCs.

Will animated WebP convert?

This tool handles still WebP only. Animated WebP is not supported; grab a dedicated GIF or video tool instead.

Is EXIF preserved?

No. Output is a fresh JPG bitmap without the original metadata.
